Appearance

To most, he looks like any other domestic cat. His fur is a number of different shades of grey, with his scars popping out in a near white. He has a scar over his right eye due to a previous injury as a child, leaving it blind, and he wears an eyepatch over it for comfort reasons. He has a stitch scar across his nose from yet another injury as a child, and a multitude of smaller ones throughout his body. His top surgery scars are messy, due to him not actually letting them heal properly.

The parasite is mainly black, with all of the spikes being a deep red. The parasite goes through his right leg, both ears, and entire tail, enveloping them in the alien form. The eyes in his ears, leg, and tail, are mainly non functioning, and do not blink. There are bandages around parts of his leg and his right ear. The full form of the parasite is never seen.

Ipaty is regularly seen in his uniform, consisting of a number of grey and black articles, with a long jacket to top it all off, styled like a marching band. He wears a black turtleneck with a warning sign in bright red on the chest. He has boots that lace up to his mid shin, with his pants being tucked in. Outside of work, he mainly wears the same colors, but less... formal. Tends to wear a lot of sweatpants and joggers. Doesn't wear hoodies or (crewneck) sweatshirts, and tends to wear turtlenecks constantly.

Personality

Growing up, he was a very odd, angry child, tending to lash out at anyone. He was a troubled child for a number of reasons, and never really grew out of it. He's easily upset, and tends to be very reckless in his own actions. He's very intelligent, but tends to not give a shit about what he's doing and tends to slack off as much as he possibly can before he gets in trouble. He's incredibly stubborn, not wanting do to things unless he's abolutely perfect at it, or won't do it if someone he doesn't like asked him to do something. He holds grudges for years and years, and truly never gets over anything that happens to him, though, most say that he's nice but... a bit intense, alongside a bit reckless and blunt.

Lore

Due to unforseen circumstances, he was placed into the care of an orphanage run by a religious organization in the area. He immediately clashed with just about everyone there, especially the head priest that ran it alongside the sisters. He would lash out constantly and get into fights with the other children rather frequently, leading to him getting punished for years. The orphanage took in children for free to keep them 'safe' in their care until they'd get adopted by someone, if they were at all. The priest was a rather callous man, placing his gaze onto Ipaty for punishments more often than not, thus leading to a cruel cycle of the priest never truly understanding why Ipaty was lashing out. For years this went on, until a new face appeared, being Snakeroot.

The two of them became quick friends, both making most of the staff either confused or scared, and the two of them relied on one another for comfort and friendship throughout their stay in the home, and they kept eachother safe, alongside lending a hand whenever it was needed. Once Ipaty turned 16, he was adopted by a military leader in the area, bringing him into the life of a military man far too young. He left Snakeroot behind, eventually learning that he never grew out of the system either, given the fact that the orphanage shut down due to... reasons a few years after he was adopted, leading him to wonder where Snakeroot went.

Ipaty was made to join the military at 16, starting off as a private in the land division of the military, led by his adoptive... 'father' (Ipaty would hesitate to call him that.) He was forced to endure skirmishes and intense training, until one skirmish went awry and led to him getting fatally injured. During the skirmish, he was shot in his stomach, leading him to bleed out profusely, and stumble into a nearby forest to die in piece, knowing that the injury was too severe for him to make it back to the medic tent in time. During this, an odd creature that looked fairly simular to a crab found him. It was small, with a large tail, and decided that Ipaty's body was the perfect carrier for it's tiny body, leading to the parasite to take over a good chunk of his body. (His ears, right leg, and his tail are all enveloped.) Due to this, Ipaty was able to get back up, and limp back to the medic tent with barely a scratch on him. (Though admittedly, it was hard to walk with a new beast taking over like, half of you).

As he gained ranks in the army, he would go on a number of excursions and marches throughout the cold country, though one night the battalion they were moving got caught in a whiteout, but the commander of the group forced them to continue on, leaving Ipaty to be lost in the blizzard, losing sight of his group in the dark woods. As he was searching for his group again, he came across a large manor in the forest, housing a curious canine-like creature within, who gave him a warm bed to sleep in for the night to sleep out the storm. The two have kept in touch ever since.

Trivia

  Complete slacker. No one knows how he managed to be granted the Captain role.

  Really enjoys tanks. If you ask him he will tell you everything without stopping.

  Very good about traversing woodlands and knowledgable about animals.

  Regularly sleeps on the job and is able to sleep anywhere.

Adoptive Father

Originally, Ipaty was happy that he was able to leave the orphanage with someone before he aged out of the system, feeling lucky that he wouldn't be left to fend for himself once he turned 18, however he wasn't a big fan of being shoved into the military underage. He feels a heavy grudge against the man due to this, and somehow making his life worse than it was beforehand.

The two of them enjoyed each other's company throughout their stay at the orphanage, though once he was adopted, the two of them lost contact. He's heard rumours about someone that looks simular to him working in the black market, but he doesn't care enough to try to find him.

He met Ronan by chance, stumbling upon his rather odd home in a whiteout years ago. The two of them got along well, especially since Ronan could sense the parasite... thing. In Ipaty, and he felt comfortable enough to drop his glamour to expose his parasitic parts.
