What's all This? The Over The Moon universe is my largest and most fleshed out universe out of all of them! There are numerous species alongside new geography and countries. Get silly with it. BE AWARE this is going to be incredibly wordy. I like explaining this

Species

There are 6 species of humanoids within the universe. Humans, Magic Users, Werewolves, Demons, Homunculi, and Chimera. Both Homunculi and Chimera are banned from being created due to safety issues of the caster and the person(s) for the rituals. Humans and Magic Users aren't exactly different "species", rather Magic Users are just humans who are born with a better grasp at magic, though anyone can learn it!

Humans

- No different than real life humans. They have the ability to learn magic just like anyone else. Most commonplace within the universe. Most humans do not believe in any magical beings and don’t believe in magic, and are unaware of the intricacies of it all.

- Humans who are aware of the magical side of the world may form monster hunter groups, though are rare.

- Can be turned into Homunculi (after death), Werewolves (Would be considered moonblind werewolves), and Chimera. If a human has children with a Genetic werewolf, most of the time the child will also be a werewolf due to how the gene works. Two moonblind wolves will not have werewolf children.

Magic Users

- No difference to humans in this universe besides having an upper hand in learning magic. Still fairly common, though less than actual humans. Some magic users may go their entire lives without knowing that they have a sense for magic.

- Magic users still need to learn how to use their gift, and are (usually) raised by other magic users. Some are born with specific magical abilities that can run within families, such as elemental powers.

- Can be turned into Homunculi (after death), Werewolves (Would be considered moonblind werewolves), and Chimera. If a magic user has children with a Genetic werewolf, most of the time the child will also be a werewolf due to how the gene works. Two moonblind wolves will not have werewolf children.

Werewolves

- Werewolves are fairly uncommon, and they’re vastly spread out throughout the many regions. There are a few distinct werewolf families that are well known. They tend to live with family most of their lives and care for the older and younger generations. There are a few outliers in this system, and there’s always lone wolves wandering wherever you go.

-There are two distinct types of werewolves, Genetic and Moonblind. Genetics are born as werewolves, (usually) grow up in a werewolf family, etc. Moonblind wolves are humans/Magic users turned wolves.

- Within Moonblind wolves, the newly turned person must last a year on their own after being bitten. For the first few months, they don’t shift, but they will still ‘act’ it out, which leads to major injuries or even death. Most moonblind people don’t survive this stage, due to a multitude of reasons. Once it’s been over a year since the initial bite, they eventually fully transform.

- As Moonblind wolves get closer to the year to fully transform, parts of them start transforming (though very slowly) and eventually turn fully by the year.

- Can be turned into Homunculi (after death) and Chimera

Demons

Homunculi

-Homunculi are one of the rarest (mortal) beings. The ritual is outright banned everywhere, and is both incredibly dangerous and costly to make. The ritual requires human cadaver pieces to work, and different meats do not work.

Chimera

There are no general traits for chimera!

- Chimera are incredibly rare, with only a few known to exist. The ritual is semi-banned due to it’s general danger to both the caster and affected. Most argue about the ethics of the practice, especially if the affected have their consent up in the air through all of it. Most wider magic groups have banned the practice, and if someone is found completing them, they would be punished.

- The ritual was (softly) banned due to the complications that can pop up from the person being fused. They can inherit nasty health concerns! There are also ethical questions to be had for fusing animals with humans.

Human/Animal Chimera

More common type of Chimera, usually mixed with a common animal (Dogs, cats, etc). These can also die from complications.

If combined with an animal like a dog, most chimera would inherit the need to be loyal to others (as an example.)

Some may show physical traits of the animal, while others don’t. It’s more of a tossup than anything else. Though most won’t show major changes, perhaps additions to smaller things, such as changing of the eyes, addition of a tail, sharper teeth, etc.

- Little diet changes have been seen within Human/Animal chimera, and their demeanor changes depending on the animal they’re fused with, though all of these depend on a case by case basis.

Gods / Religions

There are Four Major Gods within the universe. The Sun, Moon, Earth, and the Unknown god. The Sun and Moon god are stuck within a cycle of chasing each other's tail, thus making the day and night cycle, and the Unknown god, who ruled over everything dark inbetween. The Earth god lays dormant underneath the crust of the land, keeping everything stable. Millenia ago, the uknown god was trapped within an old human-built building due to them trying to overthrow the others, which lead to most of their powers becoming stripped, and the only way to gain them back is to somehow get back into the inbetween.

Sun God

- Rules over the sun, daylight, light, etc. Being taken care of by the Sun Court within the Inbetween. Commonly depicted as a large, light colored wolf, with bands of light coming out of their mane.

Moon God

- Rules over the Moon, water, nighttime, moonlight, etc. Being taken care of by the Moon Court within the Inbetween. Commonly depicted as a large, dark colored feline, with what is depicted as galaxies and stars throughout their pelt, Usually depicted as feminine, though they're neutral.

Earth God

- Rules over nature, land, flora and fauna, etc. The Thorns Court keeps an eye on the god, but don't take care of it, given it's slumber. Commonly depicted as a large snake or reptile, or through trees and fauna.

Unknown God

- It is unknown what they truly rule over, though there are theories that it rules over everything between the sun and moon, such as dark matter and things that humans cannot see. Most human writings write it as a god over paranoia, fear, darkness, and nothingness, Though it won't speak on what it actually rules over. It was never truly depicted within any writings outside of vauge ideas of what they may have seen, though with a cult growing around it, the idea of the god has become more solid throughout the years.
